The Tribute Teahouse of Tang Dynasty lies in Guzhu Mountain of Changxing Country. It is the first royal tribute teahouse of recorded history, which was built in the fifth year of Dali during Middle Tang Dynasty (770 A.D.). Lu Yu of Tang Dynasty wrote Guzhu Mountain Records, and he also spent most of his lifetime writing the first monograph on tea in the world here. The place is regarded as “the birthplace of Chinese tea culture.” The purple bamboo shoot tea and jinsha spring in the Guzhu Mountain were listed as articles of tribute to royal family for over 800 years. This attracted many famous men of letters to write poems and inscribe in the stone of mountain. At present, there are three groups (nine places) of inscription in the Guzhu Mountain. The green mountain, with clean water, lush bamboos and rich resources of tea culture, has become a best destination for tourists from home and abroad to trace Lu Yu and study the essence of tea culture.
