City’s online consumption of residents grows fastest in the province in H1

  At present, with the popularity of livestreaming marketing, shopping online has become a part of people’s lives. According to the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, from January to June, our city realized online retail sales of 44.3 billion yuan, an increase of 11.5% YoY that ranks fourth in the province. Residents' online consumption stood at 25.81 billion yuan, up 6.3% YoY, ranking first in the province in terms of growth rate, generating a surplus of 18.49 billion yuan in online retail. Among them, the retail sales of livestreaming on the three major livestreaming platforms, namely Taobao, Tiktok and Kuaishou totaled 4.612 billion yuan, an increase of 129.8% over the same period last year, and the retail volume totaled 87.869 million units, up 110.3% on a year earlier.
  In addition to livebroadcast e-commerce, the development of new formats and new models such as new retail and cross-border e-commerce in our city is also on the "fast track". Cross-border e-commerce platform projects such as Kylin Plan, the world's top 500 enterprises Xiangyu Group, national 5A logistics enterprises Kuayue Express, and Easycarry have successively settled in Huzhou. This year, the city has attracted a number of cross-border e-commerce enterprises, such as Hibobi, Yude supply chain, and Feier network technology, to gather energy for the sustainable development of cross-border e-commerce in the city.
  Our city also continues to deepen the "industrial cluster + cross-border e-commerce", thus becoming the only prefecture-level city in the province to achieve full coverage of pilot and special incentive districts and counties. At the same time, through focusing on the three main types of cross-border e-commerce, namely self-built platform enterprises, application enterprises, and service enterprises, as well as vigorously cultivating a number of cross-border e-commerce backbone enterprises, city has cultivated 30 leading cross-border e-commerce enterprises with annual sales scale of 100 million yuan, such as Henglin Home Furnishings Co., Ltd., Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., and so on.
  By grabbing the pilot Pidend of the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test zone and focusing on development and innovation, our city’s cross-border e-commerce has experienced unprecedented development. From January to June, the business volume of the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test zone reached 15.04 billion yuan, exceeding the volume completed last year, which was 3.9 times that of the same period last year, and also promoted the high-quality catch-up development of e-commerce.
