The reporter learned from the Organization Department of the Municipal Party Committee that Huzhou stood out and was awarded the title China's Best Talent Attraction City of the Year at the 2023 China Annual Best Employer Award Ceremony recently held in Chengdu.

The selection of “China Annual Best Employer” was jointly initiated by Zhaopin Ltd, Peking University Social Survey Research Center, and Peking University National Development Research Institute. Among them, the 2023 "China's Best Talent Attraction City" is selected on the basis of three dimensions: talent attraction, talent retention rate, and talent dynamism.

Huzhou ranks 29th on the China Urban Talent Attraction List, 31st on the China's Most Attractive Cities for Post-95 Talents List, and has been selected as a National Case in Innovative Talent Operation for four consecutive terms. In recent years, our city’s talent operation has frequently made the national list, showing Huzhou’s meticulous care and affection to talents.

After talents are attracted, it’s better to retain them.Our city has made every effort to build a “2+8” platform, which is led by South Taihu New District and the Yangtze River Delta (Huzhou) Industrial Cooperation Zone, continuously improved the energy level of the platform, enhanced talent attraction and listed a total of 29 industrial parks of the “South Taihu Elite Program”. In the meantime, the city vigorously introduced “famous universities and institutions”, establishing 53 novel research and development institutions such as Huzhou Research Institute of Zhejiang University, and Yangtze Delta Region Institute (Huzhou), University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, promoting the construction and operation of a number of university campuses of Zhejiang University of Technology, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology and Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power. These high-level platforms have become a broad stage for talents to pursue their dreams in Huzhou.
