Yesterday morning, the Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Committee and Mayor Hong Hupeng met with the President and CEO of KONE Group, Mr. Delorme. Deputy Mayor Shi Yiting and other officials were present.

It is reported that Kone Group, a global leader in the supply of elevators and escalators, was established in Helsinki, Finland, in 1910. Giant Kone Elevator was established by KONE Group in Nanxun District in 2005, which is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kone Group.

Mr. Hong Hupeng firstly extended his welcome to Mr. Delorme and his delegation, expressed gratitude to the KONE Group for its long-term dedication to the development of Huzhou, and introduced the economic and social progress of the city. He noted that Huzhou is currently accelerating the establishment of a modern industrial system marked by green and intelligent manufacturing, further refining its industrial structure, and fostering economic transformation and upgrading. It is anticipated that the KONE Group will persist in considering Huzhou as a priority region for strategic investments. As the Group guides and charts the course for Giant Kone, it is hoped that it will further augment its investment in Huzhou and establish more large scale and high-quality projects in the city. It is hoped that the KONE Group will seize the opportunities presented by large-scale equipment upgrades and consumer goods trade-in to continue expanding its market share and growth.
