Commemorative event of 2025 World Day for safety and health was held in Huzhou yesterday morning. Li Wanchun, the chief engineer of the Ministry of Emergency Management, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Li Changhui, the director of the International Labour Organization's China and Mongolia Bureau, Lian Kunming, the deputy secretary of the municipal committee and mayor, and Xu Xiaoyue, the director of the provincial Emergency Management Department, extended their greetings respectively. Zhang Xiaoning, the director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Center of the Ministry of Emergency Management, reported on the implementation of the 2024 SCORE project and the following steps. Ratiq, the global head of the International Labour Organization's enterprise sustainable development project, and Wang Zongming, a municipal leader, among others, attended the event as well.
In his speech, Li Wanchun pointed out that China attached great importance to cooperation with the International Labour Organization. The enterprise sustainable development project implemented since 2014 is the most significant cooperation achievement in recent years and an important tool and effective approach to promoting full participation in safety production. In the future, the project implementation should be integrated with key safety production tasks, provide multi-faceted services for the development of the safety production cause, and be organically combined with local safety production realities to continuously optimize the project service system. It should also contribute to the construction of the "Belt and Road" international cooperation mechanism for natural disaster prevention and emergency management. It is hoped that through this event the project's influence will be further expanded, its achievements consolidated and expanded and more regions to benefit from safety production work.
This event was hosted by the Ministry of Emergency Management, with the theme of "Artificial Intelligence and Digitization Empowering Occupational Safety and Health Transformation", aiming to exchange and share experiences and practices in the field of safety production at home and abroad.
Meanwhile, the launch ceremony of the new pilot areas for the SCORE project was held at the opening ceremony.
