Former Residence of Chen Yingshi
Former Residence of Chen Yingshi, also called Wuchangli, which is the birth place of Chen Yingshi, one of the revolutionary heroes in Revolution of 1911, founded in the first years of the Qing Dynasty. Part of it has been destroyed, and the rest is the traditional buildings of the south of Yangtze River during the late Qing Dynasty. It is this place that Chen Yingshi spent his childhood and adolescence and his nephews—Chen Guofu and Chen Lifu were born in.
The former residence shows the revolutionary activities of Chen Yingshi and his historical contributions objectively and comprehensively. Chen Yingshi, another name Qimei, was a close political ally of Sun Yet-sen all of his life against the corruptive feudal Qing Dynasty and Yan Shikai’s dictatorship.
