In 2011, Deqing county government kicked off the project of Zhejiang Provincial Geographical Information Industry Park in Deqing Sci-tech New City in collaboration with Zhejiang provincial bureau of survey and geographical information.                                                                      

According to the project implementation plan, the geographical information industry park will try to accomplish an investment of RMB 10 billion within five years and introduce more than 100 various enterprises related to geographical information. The annual sales incomes of RMB 30 billion with an annual profit and tax of RMB 3 billion will be achieved. There are more than 20,000 people who will work in the park. This park will be forged into national level geographical information facilities, and become a geographical information industry base known in the world, which will drive the development of the south of Yangtze river.

The project will be accommodated in the kernel of Sci-tech New City in Deqing, in three phases with a planned area of 1970 mu. The first phase covers an area of 508 mu. All utilized land is recognized as commercial service land. The investment of the office buildings and supporting facilities used for the survey and geographical information is estimated about RMB 5 billion.

Preferential Conditions Contributed by Chinese Partner: 

Deqing Sci-tech New City will offer a series of supporting policies on land, capitals, tax incentive and housing for talents etc. In order to safeguard the survey and geographical information data under the provincial and state levels, the park is designed to set up a remote store for the provincial and state survey and geographical information data. An administrative service window for the park will be established to offer administrative examination and approval service about survey and geographical information, as well as talent introduction and training service to the companies which enter into the park.

Deqing Lianchuang Sci-tech New City Construction Co., Ltd., a state owned enterprise with a registered asset of RMB 300 million, is an affiliate of Deqing Sci-tech New City Administrative Committee. The company is committed to the development and construction of the project.
