On May 30th, workers from State Grid  Huzhou Branch were installing pilot 5G base station at Ultra-high Voltage Taihu Corridor. It is the first time that 5G communication technology has been used in transmission line in the province. Because of the new technology, the 5G drones can make live transmission of real-time 8K HD video possible with millisecond delay, which can support Ultra-high Voltage Taihu Corridor elaborate inspection, AI-based live defect recognition and other patrol applications for power cables.(湖州日报）
