On Jan.20, workers are installing and welding the last steel beam on the main structure at the construction site of the Countryside Intelligence Exhibition Hall in Lucun Village, Balidian Town, Wuxing District. “This project, covering about 700 square meters, is one of the village renovation projects newly launched this year. Our construction team has specially worked round the clock to achieve the node goal soon while ensuring both the quality and quantity,” said Wang Hui, the project manager.

To prepare for the 4th World Rural Tourism Conference, Balidian Town has continued to improve the construction of 18 agriculture tourism projects and initiated the upgrading and transformation of 9 mountains, 27 lakes and over 1,066 hectares of farmland this year. “With the urbanization accelerating, our town is becoming the main platform, main position and main engine for the development of the new eastern city in Huzhou City,” said the head of the town’s party committee. Last year, the town’s regional GDP expected to reach 6.74 billion yuan (up by 8%), making the town one of “Top 100 towns in China” and the only one provincial 4A level scenic spot town across the city. Besides, the town has attracted 13 one-hundred-million-yuan projects, including Jincheng Commercial Complex and Haobo Comprehensive Industry Center.
