Construction of Digital Court Accelerated in Huzhou
“More than 1,700 square meters of the mines have been preliminarily restored through distributing seeds to the thick layer of the land with the help of sodded strip and hanging net,” said Xu Jinrong, judge of the environmental resources division of the Huzhou Intermediate People’s Court.
Standing at the foot of Huangzhishan in Qingcaowu Village, Lijiaxiang Town, Changxing County, Xu added that after the joint inspection of relevant parties and functional departments, the first case of environmental public interest litigation in the city could have its restoration results released on the “Green Source Intelligent Governance” platform to promote ecological protection.
Set up by the Huzhou Intermediate People’s Court together with relevant authorities and judiciary, the “Green Source Intelligent Governance” is the first integrated digital platform for the judicial protection of the ecological environment in the country.
Since August 2019, the city has been launching this coordination system, aiming at the coordinated management of the ecological environment. Taking the characteristics of environmental resources administrative law enforcement and judicial functions into consideration, the city has built ten functional zones, including pre-litigation mediation, on-line litigation, judicial writ, and ecological restoration, to break through multi-department data barriers and advance the on-line coordination. This has ushered in the E-era of ecological environment law enforcement and judicial coordination and protection.
