Changxing Forest Farm becomes one of the top 10 forest farms in the country

  According to Huzhou Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources & Planning, Member Representatives Conference and Council of China National Forest Farm Association 2021 have selected 38 state-owned forest farms as “national top ten forest farms” in 2021. Changxing Forest Farm has been listed among them because of its outstanding achievements in the construction of ecological culture base, becoming a model in the national forest farm industry.

  Established in 1952, Changxing Forest Farm has a total operating area of 75,600 mu and a forest stock of 492,300 cubic meters. By innovating the “human, technology, internet + resource strong supervision” mode, the forest farm is strengthening its demonstration construction, promoting the high-quality development of its forest resources and creating famous brand products. It also takes other actions such as eliminating the conditions that do not correspond to the truth to promote its work and create a vital forest farm.

  In addition, the forest farm has taken “household contracting” mode to strengthen the traditional industries of green plum, bamboo and nursery stock, help promoting the revitalization of surrounding villages. They also cooperate with universities to set up the under-forest economy demonstration bases of Dendrobium officinale and Ganoderma. As of now, 8 demonstration bases, including Zhebei Economic Forest Improved Variety Testing Base, Plum Resource Bank and Bamboo Industry, have been built, part of the effort to create a comprehensive base integrating scientific research demonstration, popular science experience and forest recuperation. In the past 5 years, the forest has won many honors such as Zhejiang Ecological and Cultural Base, Zhejiang Famous Brand, Zhejiang Forest Fire Demonstration Team and Zhejiang Modern State-owned Forest Farm.
