The 2021 Changxing County’s 1st Waxberry Industry Conference and the 18th Zhushan Waxberry Festival kicked off yesterday in the waxberry base in Zhushan Village, Longshan Street, Changxing County. With a planting area of 26,500 mu, Changxing County yielded an annual output of 19,500 tons of waxberries worth 190 million yuan, which earns the county a reputation for the home of big, succulent and sweet waxberries. Longshan Street, as the main planting area of the county's bayberries, has cultivated more than 4600 mu of waxberries. Over the years, it has been committed to promoting rural tourism through festival activities, which has remarkably increased the agricultural income.
