In order to further improve the barrier-free infrastructure, since last month, the Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation has established a special guidance group to conduct field visits to 45 points in the central urban area, such as government affairs hall, hospital, high-speed railway station, bus station, shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, public cultural facilities and some communities.
During the visit, the guidance group focused on the standardization, management and use of wheelchair access, handrail or curb ramp, barrier-free parking space, barrier-free elevator, barrier-free toilet and other barrier-free facilities for people with visual and hearing disability. They gave timely feedback, communicated with the owner of these facilities on the problems found in the inspection, and put forward suggestions.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation has successively organized 6 online and offline professional training sessions to further raise public awareness of barrier-free environment construction.
