Recently, the reporter learned from the municipal transportation department that the line connecting Huzhou Station to Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway under construction is planned to be completed in April.
　　In addition to the planned connection to Huzhou Station in April, the subgrade and bridge ancillary works are planned to be completed by the end of June; by the end of December, 70% of the track laying will have been completed (including all ballastless tracks), and 97% of the four-electricity project will have been completed.
　　According to the plan, by the end of December, the main building of Nanxun Station under construction, which is of importance to the people of Huzhou, will be basically completed.
　　The 163.8-kilometer-long Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway starts from Shanghai Hongqiao Station and ends at Huzhou Station, Huzhou City. With a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, it is planned to open to traffic in 2024. And there are three stations in Huzhou: Nanxun Station, Huzhou East Station and Huzhou Station.
　　After the completion of the railway, it will become an important railway transportation channel connecting Shanghai, Suzhou, Huzhou and other key cities in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD). It will connect Shanghai-Hangzhou High-speed Railway, Nanjing-Hangzhou High-speed Railway and Huzhou-Hangzhou High-speed Railway, jointly building the intercity high-speed railway passenger transport network in the core area of the YRD, strengthening the radiation function of Shanghai to the core hinterland of the YRD, and promoting the high-quality development of regional integration.
