Love summons strength; benevolence conveys genuine feelings. Yesterday evening, “Beautiful China, Dynamic Huzhou”- the first 2024 Huzhou 1st New Year’s Charity Night was held in Huzhou Grand Theater. Qiu Dongyao, vice-chairman of CPPCC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and president of Zhejiang Provincial Charity Federation, Chen Hao, secretary of CPC Huzhou Municipal Committee, Hong Hupeng, Deputy Secretary of CPC Huzhou Municipal Committee as well as the mayor, Sun Xianlong, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Huzhou Municipal People’s Congress, Li Shangkui, Chairman of CPPCC Huzhou Municipal Committee, and Wu Zhiyong, Deputy Secretary of CPC Huzhou Municipal Committee, Xia Jianding, Deputy Mayor, Yang Jianxin, the 8th President of the CPPCC Huzhou Municipal Committee and President of the Municipal Charity Association, and Fang Shilei, the 8th Vice President of CPPCC Huzhou Municipal Committee and Executive Vice President of the Municipal Charity Association attended the party. The main leaders of relevant departments in Huzhou, the responsible persons of party or government at all district and county levels, the full-time deputy directors of all democratic parties across the city, the relevant leaders of the Charity Association at all district and county levels, the leaders of the Dadongwu Charity Culture Research Institute, representatives of benevolent enterprises (units) and individuals, school and social organization representatives, as well as charity ambassadors, volunteers, and representatives from the public also attended the celebration.

Last year, under the strong leadership of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, with the guidance of the Zhejiang Charity Federation and the support from all works of life, the Charity Organization in our city kept moving on and accomplished 311 charity projects, making great achievements with its responsibility. Standing at a new starting point, the city’s charity organizations will thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, conscientiously implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on charity work and instructions in his important speeches during his inspection tours to Zhejiang, adhere to the party’s overall leadership over charity work, focus on the central work, work for the overall situation, actively fulfill the purpose of charity for the people, strive for charity with outstanding advantages, charity with a popular brand, law-based charity and charity from everyone under the governing of law, thus making contributions to the building of “Beautiful China, Dynamic Huzhou”.
