Official Opening of Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway

Yesterday morning, the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway officially commenced operations, which represents a significant infrastructure interconnectivity project within the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. Furthermore, it serves as a key project for networking, supplementary enhancement, and strengthening the high-speed railway system in the region. It also holds immense significance for creating a “Yangtze River Delta on Rails”, thereby promoting economic and social development along the route, as well as facilitating the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.

The opening ceremony of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway was held at Huzhoudong Railway Station at 9:30 am. Wang Hao, the secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, attended the ceremony and announced the official opening of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway.

Liu Jie, the deputy secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and acting governor, delivered a speech. Wang Lixin, the deputy general manager of the China Railway Group, made a speech. Wu Wei, the member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and executive vice mayor, Ma Xin, the member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and executive vice governor, Fei Gaoyun, the member of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and executive vice governor, and Qiu Qiwen, the member of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and secretary general, attended the ceremony. Xu Wenguang, the member of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and executive vice governor, presided over the ceremony. The head of the China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. introduced the construction status and operational arrangements of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway. Chen Hao, Lian Kunming, Wang Zongming, Hu Guorong, Zhang Hongliang, Wang Xiaojun, and other leaders from Huzhou attended the ceremony.
