The Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently issued the 2024 in-budget investment plan for urban underground pipelines and facilities. Our city successfully secured 113.32 million yuan in central funding for three projects.
It is believed that the central fund will be used to support three projects, including upgrading natural gas pipeline in Wuxing District in 2024, improving comprehensive water system (Phase I) in the Tiaoxi area of Taihu Lake Basin (Wuxing District) and renewing natural gas pipeline and facility in Changxing County. According to the plan, 94 kilometers of natural gas pipeline will be renewed, 112 stations will be constructed and facilities for about 40 thousand users will be established. The plan also involves the construction and renovation of one drainage ditch, one sluice station, and one pumping station. All three projects have already commenced construction.
“The construction of these three projects holds significant importance for renewing and renovating the local underground pipeline network and for ensuring the safe operation of the city," explained the Municipal Development and Reform Commission. To secure this round of funding, the municipal and county-level development and reform departments, in collaboration with the construction departments, proactively prepared implementation plans, refined application materials, and actively coordinated with higher authorities, laying a solid foundation for the successful approval of funds. Next, Huzhou will strictlyadhere to relevant regulations and project implementation plans, ensure the targeted use of funds, and enhance coordination between departments, diligently supervise the project fund, with a view to accelerating construction progress, and guaranteeing high-quality, efficient project advancement.
