Green has disappeared due to ecological destruction. In 1994, the proportion of soil erosion in Shimenkeng was as high as 23.5%, making it one of the most severe areas of soil erosion in northern Zhejiang; Green has also been revived due to ecological protection. This year, the first national soil and water conservation ecological product value conversion transaction was signed and implemented here. A tourism development company obtained the development and management rights of the Hegai block in the Shimenkeng small watershed for 33.28 million yuan.

This disappearance and resurgence of "green" is a vivid footnote to the construction of ecological civilization in Huzhou, a city that has made progress in green and low-carbon innovative development.

According to data provided by the Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, last year the output value of strategic emerging industries and high-tech industries in Huzhou accounted for 34.52% and 64.09% of the total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size respectively. The number of national high-tech enterprises increased to 1611.

Merely being content with "have" is not enough. The Taihu Basin is one of the most economically dynamic regions in China. How can Huzhou form its own advantages to stand out? To promote the transformation of the "two mountains theory", it is necessary to align with the "excellence" and advance towards the "competitiveness".
