The 2024 International Conference on Intangible Cultural Heritage of the 24 Solar Terms, Life Health, and the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Aromatic Beauty Industry was recently held in the Beautéville of Daixi Town, Wuxing District.
Jointly organized by Zhejiang University of Technology and Huzhou Economic Development Group, the conference attracted 200 global industry elites, experts, and scholars specializing in traditional Chinese medicine and aromatic beauty from countries including the US, Japan, Iran, and the rest.
In recent years, traditional Chinese medicine has been frequently used in domestic makeup products, with the annual growth rate of China’s traditional Chinese medicine cosmetics market reaching approximately 20%, exceeding the average growth rate of the cosmetics industry. As a hub for the beauty industry, Daixi Beautéville focuses on three key development directions: production, branding, and experience. It strives to become a “leading national beauty industry hub, a pioneer in international beauty expos, and the first stop for fashion experiences in the Yangtze River Delta region”, continuously strengthening its unique beauty industry. In the meantime, it innovates in cosmetic functional ingredients, addresses challenges in raw material cultivation, and offers industrial technical support encompassing essential oil extraction, fragrance refinement, aroma blending, and secure sourcing of high-quality raw materials. This, in turn, extends the beauty industry’s value chain, encompassing production through to raw material cultivation and processing.
According to the organizers, the conference endeavors to build a pivotal platform for fostering industry-academia-research collaboration with the Beautéville, jointly promoting innovation and the achievement transformation of biomedical technologies, facilitating international cooperation and exchanges in the field of life health, and further enhancing the global influence of the Beautéville.
