With a devoted heart nurturing talent, teacher’s desk has witnessed the passage of time. Huzhou held a celebration activity for the 40th Teachers' Day last night at the Huzhou Grand Theatre.

The event was attended by Chen Hao, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, who presented awards to outstanding teachers representing our city for 2024. Also in attendance were Sun Xianlong, Chairman of the Municipal People's Congress, Wu Zhiyong, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Head of Social Work, along with other city leaders including Shen Zhonghua, Shi Yiting, and Zhu Ling, as well as Yu Xin from the Huzhou Military Subarea.

More than 700 participants joined the celebration, including teachers and students from various schools across the city, key officials from local universities, heads of relevant municipal units, and leaders from various districts and counties.

The event was divided into four chapters: "Like a Song: Unwavering Commitment," "Like Water: Nurturing Growth," "Like Fire: Igniting Passion," and "Like Light: Guiding the Way." The first chapter began with a screening of the documentary "Our 40 Years," which reflected on the development of education in Huzhou over the past four decades, showcasing the remarkable achievements that have been made. The second segment featured a skit titled "Yesterday and Today," which connected two generations of educators across time, highlighting the inheritance and evolution of the spirit of teaching. Following the performance, a special awards ceremony took place at the center of the stage. Teachers with over 40 years of service were honored with commemorative medals, and young teachers presented them with flowers. The dedication of these veteran teachers, who have devoted decades to teaching and mentoring selflessly, deeply moved the audience, earning them heartfelt applause.

Before the event started, city leaders, including Chen Hao, Sun Xianlong, and Wu Zhiyong, warmly met outstanding teachers from our city for a group photo.
