The third session of the 14th Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress and the third session of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) are about to convene. Bearing the expectations and trust of the people of our city, the deputies to the Provincial People's Congress, provincial CPPCC members, and observers from Huzhou arrived in Hangzhou yesterday to report to the conference.

A total of 35 deputies to the Provincial People's Congress, 17 provincial CPPCC members, and 25 observers from our city are to participate in this year’s provincial two sessions. They come from various fronts across the city, including Party officials, entrepreneurs, educators, medical workers, scientific researchers, and technical workers. Prior to the sessions, they conducted special inspections, carried out in-depth research on the front lines, widely gathered public opinions to further refine their proposals and suggestions, making full preparations for attending the sessions.

The year 2025 marks the completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) and the planning phase for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30). It is also a crucial year for Zhejiang to make significant and substantive progress in promoting high-quality development and building a demonstration zone for common prosperity. Against this backdrop, the deputies to the Provincial People's Congress and provincial CPPCC members from our city unanimously believe that the upcoming provincial two sessions are of great significance for thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the important speech by President Xi Jinping during his inspection tour in Zhejiang. The upcoming provincial two sessions will faithfully carry forward the “Eight-Eight Strategy”, inspire all sectors in the province to further firm up their confidence, work diligently, pool efforts, pioneer new areas and forge ahead, contributing to the new chapter of modernization with Chinese characteristics in Zhejiang Province.
