The operational assessment results of the first batch of Zhejiang's future industry pilot zones have recently been announced. Huzhou's Deqing Beidou Geospatial Information Future Industry Pilot Zone has been rated as 'excellent' level. This pilot zone, centered on Deqing Geospatial Information Town and the Shacun Expansion Area, is actively advancing the construction of the “Beidou Geospatial Information+” industrial transformation base. It is also accelerating the development of the geospatial information industrial park, along with bases for artificial intelligence, connected vehicle manufacturing, and general aviation. This effort has led to the formation of a comprehensive industrial chain that encompasses data acquisition, processing, application, and services.

Currently, the pilot zone focuses on the core areas of Beidou Geospatial Information, including location intelligence, urban positioning, high-precision mapping, 3D scanning, satellite navigation equipment, commercial remote sensing microsatellites, and drone remote sensing. The zone is home to 2 provincial key laboratories, 2 new research and development institutions, as well as 5 provincial high-tech enterprise R&D centers or enterprise research institutes. It has generated over 100 intellectual property rights, including authorized invention patents which has also cultivated and gathered 32 core enterprises specializing in "geospatial information+" and more than 40 associated enterprises.

The pilot zone will continue to prioritize the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, reinforcing institutional and mechanism innovations. It will focus on key industrial development areas, actively attract and nurture leading enterprises in the industry, and foster an ecosystem where large, medium, and small enterprises can thrive together.
