Recently, reporters visited Zhejiang RXONG New Material Technology Co., Ltd. in Changxing County, where automated production lines were finalizing the layout of high-tech lip bricks. The company's executives noted that these seemingly ordinary lip bricks—a type of high-temperature resistant material critical for photovoltaic glass production—are the result of independent R&D efforts. Valued at over 10,000 CNY per unit, these bricks have broken foreign monopolies and enabled the company to secure a significant share of the domestic market.
RXONG's development model is far from being an isolated case. In recent years, driven by the growing benefits of innovation, Huzhou City has focused on two important tasks: research and collaboration within industrial chains, and deepening technological innovation. We have firmly prioritized six key areas: planning projects, promoting cooperation, ensuring implementation, strengthening enterprises, developing products, and building systems. In 2024, the new product output ratio of large-scale industries in the city reached 48.8%, ranking the third in the province.
The strength of innovation platforms determines a region's capability to break new ground. This year, our city will implement the "Dual Growth and Dual Transformation" plan for technology enterprises, accelerating the construction of high-level corporate R&D institutions such as national and provincial enterprise technology centers and enterprise research institutes. Aiming to cultivate a group of "single-product manufacturing champions" and tech "unicorns" with strong independent innovation capabilities, our goal is designed to establish over 30 municipal-level or higher enterprise technology centers this year.
