Yesterday morning, the first "Deputies' Passage" intensive interview activity of the Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress was held at the north side of the central hall of the Great Hall of the People. Zhang Tianren, a NPC deputy from our city and secretary of the Party Committee of Xinchuan Village, Meishan Town, Changxing County, received a concentrated interview from reporters.
     Zhang Tianren said that the first story is that the "Zhejiang's Green Rural Revival Program" has brought back lucid waters and lush mountains. During the 1980s and 1990s, many enterprises were established in the villages, and people became wealthy. However, the mountains became barren and the water smelled bad. People there once said they lived on garbage piles counting money. In 2003, under the personal planning, deployment, and promotion of Comrade Xi Jinping, Zhejiang Province launched the "Zhejiang's Green Rural Revival Program".
      The second story told by Zhang Tianren is that lucid waters and lush mountains have become their invaluable assets. He told us the beautiful transformation of Xinchuan Village with "one foot on the polluted brake" and "one foot on the green accelerator". Nowadays, the village has not only shut down more than 10 mining and high energy consuming enterprises, but also guided the integration of local enterprises into the new energy industry chain through the help of Tianneng Group and the joint construction of village enterprises.
      Zhang Tianren also shared the third story about pomegranate seeds promoting common prosperity. Prosperity in a single village does not constitute true affluence; only when common prosperity is achieved by all can there be genuine wealth. In recent years, Xinchuan Village has paired up with several villages, including Taipan Village in Taijiang County, Guizhou Province and Xiaogang Village in Fengyang County, Anhui Province, to jointly promote rural revitalization.
