From May 14th to 15th, the Yangtze River Delta Urban Tourism Association Integrated Development Conference was held in Hangzhou. At the event, the representatives from the Huzhou Tourism Association and tourism associations of 31 cities (or districts) across Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces signed an agreement on an integrated cooperation mechanism and a declaration to jointly promote tourism integration in the Yangtze River Delta, marking the launch of an integrated cooperation mechanism for tourism associations within these cities. It is reported that these 32 cities (districts) will aim to create “world-class tourism destinations” by jointly developing tourism products and brands with international competitiveness, thereby enhancing the international recognition and reputation of tourism in the Yangtze River Delta.

“This signifies that Huzhou will participate in building a ‘world-class tourism destination’ and actively explore broader pathways for modern tourism development,” said Yu Jinfang, President of Huzhou Tourism Association, Chairman of Kingland Group, and Chairman of Mekong Group. He believes that the Yangtze River Delta region boasts a solid foundation for tourism development, a vast market, and abundant resources, exerting a strong magnetic pull for cultural and tourism activities. The integrated cooperation will inject new impetus into Huzhou’s cultural and tourism development.

In recent years, Huzhou has actively participated in cultural and tourism cooperation within the Yangtze River Delta region, taking the initiative to create an ecological and cultural tourism circle around Taihu Lake. It has jointly launched exquisite international cultural and tourism routes in the Yangtze River Delta with neighboring cities, collectively advancing the integrated development of culture and tourism in the region. With the opening of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-speed Railway, Huzhou’s geographical advantage continues to expand as the “heart of the Yangtze River Delta”. Statistics show that among the current tourist demographics visiting Huzhou, over half are from the Yangtze River Delta region.
