This year, our city  initiated a program to recruit “Technology Deputy Directors.” So far, 240 “Technology Deputy Directors”have already been appointed, covering industries including new energy vehicles, semiconductors, and high-end equipment manufacturing. These professionals play a pivotal role in facilitating the commercialization of R&D outcomes and enhancing enterprise innovation capabilities.
What is “Technology Deputy Director”?Wang Guohong explained that a “Technology Deputy Director” refers to an innovative system of selecting high-level scientific and technological talents from universities and research institutes to serve in enterprises as deputy general managers, deputy chief engineers, technology deputies, R&D deputies, technical directors, and other positions. This system aims to foster complementary advantages and collaborative innovation between universities, research institutes and enterprises, enabling high-level scientific and technological talents to better serve enterprises, industries, and economic and social development. The “Technology Deputy Director” program not only assists the development of enterprises, but also provides a broader platform for academic talents to apply their expertise.
According to the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the city is now promoting the implementation of supporting incentive policies to motivate more institutional talents to contribute to enterprise growth. For example, industry-university-research collaboration projects meeting specified standards will be included in the municipal science and technology program sequence. Outstanding dual-appointment talents and their employing enterprises will enjoy work subsidies, And the annual excellence awards will be listed separately, allowing more talents to “ignite their sparks” in the enterprise.
