The General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission recently issued a list of contact points for the comprehensive rural revitalization. Of the four selected counties (cities) in Zhejiang Province, Anji County made the list, which is also the only selected county in our city.

The establishment of a work contact point by the National Development and Reform Commission is an important measure to promote the implementation and effectiveness of the comprehensive rural revitalization strategy. It aims to provide replicable and transferable experience and practices for rural revitalization nationwide, and help achieve the overall goal of strong agriculture, a beautiful countryside, and prosperous farmers.

Anji's selection stems from its continuous innovation and practice in key areas. In terms of industry-village integration, the county has revitalized resource assets, promoted the upgrading of tea, bamboo, and rural tourism industries, and created new business models such as “One Thousand Rural Homestays" and "One Hundred Villages, Ten Thousand Tents”. Last year, the added value growth rate of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery in the county ranked first in the city, and for six consecutive years Anji has ranked first among the top 100 counties in terms of comprehensive tourism strength in the country. In terms of the co-prosperity model, the county deepens the “two shares and three benefits” mechanism, promotes the reform of bamboo forest carbon sink and the transformation of water ecological value, and achieves the increase of village collective income. Last year, the average operating income per village in the county was 2.933 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.98%. In terms of young people entering rural areas, the county has established a three-level youth innovation platform of “agricultural innovation community, rural innovation space, and village innovation base”, pioneered the cultivation of talents by the Youth Innovation College, and has attracted and cultivated 695 youth innovation projects.
