
On the morning of July 12, the Zhejiang Week of China Pavilion at the Expo 2025 Osaka was officially launched. During the opening ceremony, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province jointly released a series of Zhejiang practice cases demonstrating the concept that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”. These cases shared with the world China’s stories of harmonious coexistence between men and nature, contributing knowledge products and Chinese solutions to global ecological governance and sustainable development. The opening ceremony highlighted five key cases, three of which originated from Huzhou Experiences, showcasing win-win stories of achieving both economic growth and ecological conservation.
The Zhejiang Week of China Pavilion at the Expo 2025 Osaka featured diverse activities abundant withHuzhou elements. Among them, the “Ten-Thousand-Year Heritage · Verdant Jiangnan” exhibition on Zhejiang’s historical and classic industries introduced Hubi (Huzhou brush). During the China (Zhejiang) Sustainable Technology Promotion Session, Huzhou delivered a themed presentation on “Green Innovation Driving Sustainable Development in Ecologically Resource-Rich Regions”. Additionally, Huzhou’s cultural and tourism highlights were showcased during the cultural and tourism promotion session for Zhejiang’s prefecture-level cities. The Expo 2025 Osaka, running from April 13 to October 13, is expected to attract 28 million visitors. As of July 11, the China Pavilion has already welcomed 760,000 visitors since its opening, with Huzhou elements drawing frequent attention.
