1.Changxing has a superior location and well-developed transportation. It is located on the southwest bank of the Taihu Lake in the central hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta, Changxing borders Yixing in Jiangsu Province in the north and Guangde in Anhui Province in the west. It has been called the "thoroughfare of three provinces" since ancient times, with obvious geographical advantages and developed external transportation. The golden waterway (Changxing-Huzhou-Shanghai Canal), 2 national highways (No. 104 National Highway, No. 318 National Highway), 4 railways (Hangzhou-Nanjing High speed Railway, Xuancheng-Hangzhou Railway, Changxing-Niutoushan Railway, Xinyi-Changxing Railway), four expressways (Hangzhou-Nanjing Expressway, Hangzhou-Changxing Expressway, Shanghai-Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Anhui Expressway, Shanghai-Jiaxing-Huzhou Expressway) run through the county, which is located within a 90-minute transportation circle with major cities such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Nanjing.

2.Changxing County boasts a long history and profound cultural heritages. The establishment of this county began in the 3rd year of Taikang during the reign of Emperor Wu of Jin (282 AD) more than 1700 years ago. In the last dynasty of the Southern Dynasties, Chen Baxian, the founding emperor of the Chen Dynasty, was born and grew up in Changxing. Changxing is one of the birthplaces of Chinese tea culture. Lu Yu, who is known as the “Tea Sage”, wrote in Changxing "The Tea Classics", China's first tea monograph. In the Ming Dynasty, the great essayist Gui Youguang and the famous novelist Wu Cheng’en once co-governed Changxing County. A variety of folk arts flourish in Changxing, including Baiyelong Dragon Dance, Lincheng Lion Dance, Shifan Luogu (a kind of Gong and Drum Performance), Shuikou Tea Ceremony, Hongqiao Dragon Boat, Xiaruo Lantern, Si’an Land Boat Dance. Among various kinds of folk arts, Baiyelong Dragon Dance has gone abroad and been successfully performed on many foreign stages, such as those in Southeast Asia, France and Russia. And it has been awarded Chinese folk art “Mountain Flowers Awards” and “Famous Trademark of China”.

3.Changxing is rich in products and resources. It has always been known as "Land of Fish and Rice", "House of Silk" and "Southeastern prosperous county". Changxing has many famous, special, excellent products, including the famous "four treasures of Taihu Lake" at home and abroad: silverfish, white shrimp, mackerel, hairy crab; the famous "four treasures of Changxing": ginkgo, hanging melon, chestnut, green plum; there are three unique teas: Zisun tea, purple sand pot tea and Jinsha Spring tea. It is rich in tourism resources, including the former headquarter of the Jiangsu-Zhejiang Military Region of the New Fourth Army, known as "Little Yan'an", the "three unique ancient natural wonders" dating back to hundreds of millions of years ago, namely the geological relics of the "golden spikes", ancient ginkgo trees and Yangtze alligators. Moreover, the County is famous for scenic spots such as Tuying Wetland, Xianshanhu Lake, Guzhu Tea Township, and the Imperial Palace of Emperor Chen of Wu with distinctive cultural characteristics.

4.Changxing County is characterized by booming economy and rapid development. Changxing is one of the top 100 counties with strong basic economic competitiveness in China and a pilot county for the construction of a strong industrial county in Zhejiang Province. In recent years, the county is speeding up its economic transformation: the agriculture features seven major industries, including commercial vegetables, tea, high-quality fruits, special aquatic products, flowers and plants, modern bamboo industry and forestry, and sericulture; the secondary industry is dominated by new battery, modern textile and characteristic electro-mechanical products; the service industries are based on modern logistics, commerce, finance and tourism.

The quality of the county continues to improve, and the urbanization rate reached 64% in 2021. The country’s ecological environment keeps improving: the "Five Waters Co-governance" and the air pollution management achieved notable results; both the air quality and water environment quality have steadily improved.
